A large amount of your testing will be carried out by your project team, who will have had a lot of exposure to the system already and, typically, the amount of detail contained within the Test Scenarios will be enough to enable them to carry out their tests.
If you'll be asking people outside your project team, such as Hiring Managers, to carry out some testing, you might need to give them more detailed instructions - these will be your Test Scripts.
A quick, 30 second, search of the Internet will bring up a vast number of script templates which you can use - you're free to use whatever script templates you wish.
That being said, we do have our own script template which you can use if you wish. This can be found within the Files tab of your Teamwork project - Customer Testing Script Template EPD-ID-26-01.
Within the script template you'll be able to capture:
- The scenario number and system area
- Link and login details
- An overview of the scenario and step-by-step instructions
- The expected outcome
- Room to capture the actual outcome
- Room to capture details relating to next steps
- Somewhere to capture comments
As mentioned above, we don't mind if you use our script template or another one - so long as you have captured enough information to enable the tester to complete the test properly and to be able to confidently pass or fail the test.
