Pay Salaries - What are they?
Pay Salaries is a feature within Eploy that allows you to implement defined Salary Banding and Grading options into your system.
If any part of your organisation has a defined pay structure which is linked to specific roles, locations (e.g. London weighting) or levels of seniority, and you'd like to apply the policy to your Vacancies and Offers, Pay Salaries is the way to do that.
If you do not have a strict pay structure and all offer salaries are unique, this feature will not be of benefit to you.
What do I need to think about when planning?
First, you'll need to clearly define what your pay structure looks like, if that hasn't been done already.
When it comes to adding the Pay Salary into Eploy, you'll be asked to specify the following:
- The Salary Range
- Number of Hours per Week applicable
- Advertising Salary
- Whether you want the Hiring Manager to be able to edit the salary range on the Vacancy or Offer
- Whether you want the Hiring Manager to be able to edit the Hours Per Week on the Vacancy or Offer
- Whether you want the Pay Salary to only apply to specific Companies, Functions, Positions, Business Areas and Locations
These details form the high-level Pay Salary, which is applied to your Vacancies.
Within each Pay Salary you will also need to add the specific Salary Bands applicable to that Pay Salary - this is where you add the specific Offer values that will be available within the Pay Salary range.
When adding a Salary Band you'll need to provide:
- the name for that band
- the salary for that band
- the pay interval (e.g. Hourly, Daily, Yearly)
- the number of hours per week for that band
Are there any examples I can see?
You'll be able to find a very simple example within your demo system.
Log into your demo system and navigate to Admin > Pay Salaries.
Click on the name of a Pay Salary to view the details.
