For Contacts, Companies & Candidates, personal websites can be stored against their record, allowing quick and easy access to further information about the people within your database. This can range from contact information, such as Skype and Connect, to social media feeds such as LinkedIn, Facebook & Twitter.

Social Searching

Within each record, there will be a series of social media and search icons next to the name of each person or company – these allow you to complete quick searches based the information stored within the record:

Google Search – This will search using the Google Search Engine for the First Name, Surname and the Town address stored within the record. If searching on companies, it will search for the full company name.

LinkedIn – This will search LinkedIn based on the First Name, Surname and most recent Employer (stored within the Employment History) of the record. If searching on companies, it will search for the full company name only. You do not need to be logged in to LinkedIn for the search to work.

Facebook - This will search Facebook Database for the First Name, Surname and the Town address stored within the record. If searching on companies, it will search for the full company name.

Twitter – This will search the Twitter database based on the records First Name & Surname. You do not need to be logged in to use this tool.

Google Plus (+) - This will search specifically for Google Plus profiles, based on the First Name, Surname & Town address.

When using these social search tools, you can save your results against the same icon – this allows you to bypass the search next time you require this information and directly access your chosen profile.

Saving URLs / Web Addresses

Once you have completed your search you can save the URL (web addresses) against your record using the Links option, shown on the right hand side of the tool bar.

After clicking Links, you can either edit existing URLs or select Add New. Selecting either will open a new pop-up window, allowing you to determine a title and to input the web address.

Clicking Apply will then save that link. If the link is for one of the icons on the tool bar (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc), then the URL will be stored within the icon. If the URL saved if for different site (Skype etc) then it will be accessible under the Links drop down.

To access the existing link, simply click the title. To edit, select the pencil icon – this will prompt the same edit pop up window as above.
